MEDFORD, N.Y. - Police are looking for a Long Island medical technician whose car was found, empty and near the woods, shortly after her family reported her missing.

Suffolk County police asked Monday for the public's help finding 21-year-old Sarah P. Goode of Medford. She's the mother of a 4-year-old daughter.

Detective Sgt. Michael Fitzharris says Goode watched a movie on TV with friends Friday night. It's unclear what happened to her afterward.

Her sister called police Sunday after the family hadn't from Goode for about two days. About an hour later, police found Goode's 1999 gray BMW parked near some woods.

A woman who answered a telephone number connected to Goode's family declined to comment or give her name Monday morning.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or Crime Stoppers 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
